Seminar 2013 of MCC Furnace Construction Engineering Center Convened in Wuhan

Oct. 29, 2013 - A grand opening ceremony was held for Seminar 2013 of MCC Furnace Construction Engineering Center, which was hosted by the Industrial Furnace Company of China First Metallurgical Construction Group (CFMCC Group), in Wuhan on October 25, 2013. Over 50 participants took part in this seminar, including the representatives from eight design institutes and construction units (for instance, WISDRI Engineering & Research Incorporation Ltd. (WISDRI), CISDI Engineering Group (CISDI Group), ACRE Coking & Refractory Engineering Consulting Corporation of MCC (ACRE), Wuhan University of Science and Technology, Iron-making Company and Coking Company of Wuhan Steel Works), and furnace companies from ten contractors such as Shanghai Baoye Construction Group (SBC-MCC Group), China Second Metallurgical Construction Group (CSMCC Group), the 3rd China Metallurgical Construction Group (3MCC Group), the 5th China Metallurgical Construction Group (5MCC Group), MCC Tiangong Construction Group (CMTCC Group), the 19th China Metallurgical Construction Group (19MCC Group), China 20MCC Construction Group (20MCC Group) and the 22nd China Metallurgical Construction Group (22MCC Group). Guo Jizhou, Vice General Manager & Chief Engineer of CFMCC Group, was present at the event and delivered a welcome speech.
The highlight of the seminar is the technical communication. Professor Han Bingqiang of Wuhan University of Science and Technology presented an academic report, Research Progress on Refractory Materials of Rotary Cement Kiln; Yang Jun Feng, an expert from ACRE, delivered a report on 5S Management of Construction Site, which was prepared basing upon the excellent jobsite management experiences in Germany; Fei Yi, an expert from Wuhan Metallurgical Construction Co., Ltd. of MCC Group (WRIMC), conducted technical communication with all the experts present at the seminar on the R&D and Application of Blast Stove Technology; Jia Xiaoming, an expert from SBC-MCC Group, made an introduction to the Investigation on Lining Damages of Lime Sleeve Kiln, utilizing vivid cartoon and actual examples; Cheng Aimin, an expert from 5MCC Group, exchanged views on CDQ Overhaul Technique; Li Yaonan, an expert from the Industrial Furnace Company of CFMCC Group, made a detailed introduction to the Analysis on Engineering Features of New-type Large-volume Coke Oven. The technical papers cover a wide range of the production and the academic research. They have fully reflected the most advanced technical achievements and experiences in the field of furnace, and played an active role in driving the development of furnace construction.
After the seminar, over 20 representatives respectively present at the technical research institutes, employers and member units of MCC Group's Technical Center paid a visit to MCC Furnace Construction Engineering Center, which is located within the High-tech Industrial Park of CFMCC Group in Qingshan District of Wuhan City.
