CREMER ERZKONTOR announces successful merger of Mineralmahlwerk Hamm and Handels- und Aufbereitungsgesellschaft für Mineralien mbH

Jan. 18, 2024 - Mineralmahlwerk (MMW) Hamm, one of the largest processors of mineral raw materials in Europe, and Handels- und Aufbereitungsgesellschaft für Mineralien mbH (HAG), Hamm, a specialist in processing chrome ore sand, are now operating as a single company. HAG Hamm was founded in 2011 as an independent company from the Mineralmahlwerk Hamm. The company specializes in the drying, dedusting, cooling, screening, storage, and packaging of chrome ore sand for the steel and foundry industry.

 “After acquiring HAG last year, merging our two companies was a logical step for us here at the site. It’s a reunion of what originally belonged together,” says Tim Grottendieck, CEO of MMW Hamm. “Thanks to the acquisition of HAG, we can now offer our customers the processing of chrome ore sand, a significant raw material in the refractory and foundry industry. This perfectly complements our service portfolio.”

With a total operating area now of 100,000 m2 – including 70,000 m2 of storage area, 24,000 m2 of which is covered – 240,000 tons of minerals can be processed and recycled annually in three crushing and eight processing plants. All processing plants are equipped with dryers, modern screening machines, and ball mills. In addition, MMW Hamm offers a variety of packaging and transportation options.
