HWI' application accepted and approved for continuous business operation

Mar. 25, 2020 - We are delighted to share that today we received written confirmation from Tom Wolf, Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, that our application for HarbisonWalker International (HWI) to continue business operations at its physical locations has been accepted and approved.

With respect to Pennsylvania and every state that has issued a COVID-19 health order, we are pleased to reassure you that HWI remains fully operational and that our entire network of operations will continue to be available to support customers.

Since the March 19 Pennsylvania order to close “non-life sustaining businesses” was enacted, we’ve been working intensely to successfully ensure no interruptions in the critical supply chain of refractory products and services we provide to all our customers.

In support of efforts to help diminish the spread of the coronavirus, our HWI teams continue to comply with social distancing and other mitigation measures to protect employees and the public. This includes virtual and telework operations (e.g., work from home) as the primary option when available. As always, the safety of all our people and our operations is a top priority.
