OCL India Q2FY18 standalone net profit declines 8% YoY

OCL India standalone revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 699 crore, registering 2.8% yoy decline. This was primarily driven by ~35% yoy decline in the income of refractory segment (~8.7% of total revenue).

EBITDA for the quarter rose by 2.9% yoy to Rs. 141 crore with a corresponding margin expansion of 112 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 20.2%. This margin expansion was aided by lower other expenses as proportionate to sales (20% in Q2FY18 vs ~26% in Q2FY17).

The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs. 78.8 crore, yoy decline of 8%. This was due to ~31% yoy decline in other income.
