Apr. 17, 2018 - HWI's CEO Carol Jackson will be the guest speaker at the upcoming Association of Women in the Metals Industries - Pittsburgh Chapter's April Dinner and Meeting. Ms. Jackson will discuss the state of the U.S. refractory industry and also share her approach to leadership.

Please join the AWMI Pittsburgh Chapter for our April chapter dinner and meeting! Our speaker for this event is Carol Jackson, Chairman and CEO of HarbisonWalker International.

Ms. Jackson will talk about the state of the US refractory industry and also share her approach to leadership and insights into being a woman leading a company in today's world.

HarbisonWalker International, (HWI), the largest supplier of refractory products and services in the U.S. Previously, Ms. Jackson was Senior Vice President and General Manager at HWI, and responsible for commercial operations globally for the corporation headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Prior to joining HWI in 2014, Carol served as Vice President of the bar, wire, and strip business units of Carpenter Technology Corporation. She also progressed through numerous roles at PPG Industries, where she was ultimately Director of Global Raw Materials Purchasing. A licensed attorney in the state of Pennsylvania, she holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh, a master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University, Tepper School of Business. She earned her undergraduate degree from Duquesne University. She is also a Board member of Junior Achievement of Western Pennsylvania, and has been involved with the United Way and numerous other local organizations.
