RHI Magnesita York factory receives $300 million grants from state program

Sep. 13, 2018 - A state program has awarded $19.4 million in grants to a range of projects in York County. 

As one of six projects, Magnesita Refractories Co. received $300 million for construction of a new facility to house new crushing equipment, which will create additional jobs, and elevate Magnesita’s production capabilities in West Manchester Township.

The grants come from Pennsylvania’s Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program, or RACP, which is administered by the Office of the Budget. The funds cover acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational, and historical improvement projects.
