HWI Hosts 2018 Refractory Fundamentals Training

Jun. 20, 2018 - HarbisonWalker International’s Commercial and Research teams held their annual Refractory Fundamentals Training June 19-20 at the Advanced Technology & Research Center (ATRC) located in West Mifflin, PA. This annual 2-day program focuses on providing customers the opportunity to develop a comprehensive background of refractory technologies, products, installation methods and applications.

HWI hosted 40 customers, representing a wide variety of industries. In addition to a tour of HWI’s analytical lab and pilot plant, product demos and quality testing, discussion topics included new products and technologies, open innovation, brick making, dry outs, anchoring, and thermal expansion.
