Almatis and Bassermann Minerals expand distribution cooperation across Europe

Jan. 8, 2026 – Almatis GmbH is expanding its long-standing partnership with Bassermann Minerals GmbH on a sustainable basis. With immediate effect, Almatis has appointed the STOCKMEIER Chemicals company as its official distribution partner for United Kingdom, Scandinavia incl. Finland, as well as Central and Eastern Europe. Bassermann Minerals will thus represent the entire Almatis product portfolio servicing polishing, technical ceramics, refractory, thermal management and building chemicals markets in these regions. The existing distribution partnership in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland will also be expanded once again: Bassermann Minerals will now also act as a distribution partner for all polishing clay products in German-speaking countries. Bassermann Minerals has been part of the globally active, owner-managed STOCKMEIER Group since 2013.

The fact that Almatis is now expanding our existing sales partnership across Europe is both confirmation and motivation for us,” says Jürgen Cremer.

The portfolio includes brands such as ECO-TAB®, GILOX, RAPOL, ULTIMATE, and ThermaFill, among others. The expanded cooperation agreement is an important step toward expanding the market presence of both companies in Europe and will result in significant synergy effects for both sides through combining expertise and completion of the product ranges.
